M. shabodeho@aol.com June 1, 2012, 11:58 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on May 22, 2012 Richard A. Blauch Sr. PALMYRA Richard A. Blauch, Sr., 74, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was prede-ceased by his loving wife Patricia (Sternberger) Blauch in 1990 and Barbara (Snavely) Blauch in 2011. He was born Wednesday, May 4, 1938, in Palmyra to the late Arthur and Jennie (Brightbill) Blauch. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from the Hershey Chocolate Company. He was a member and Past Commander of Campbelltown American Legion, Post 831, Chocolate Workers Local 464, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and Blades, Del., Volunteer Fire Company where he served as an EMT and firefighter. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. His bright smile and witty sense of humor will be missed by many. He is survived by two sons, Richard A. Blauch, Jr. and wife, Sue of Lebanon, and David B. Blauch of Palmyra; four grandchildren, Brian Blauch, Megan Blauch, Richard Everitt, Jr., and Kimberly Maurer; three great-grandchildren, Allyssa Everitt, Preston and Courtney Maurer; one brother, David Blauch and wife, Jean of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Betty Bossler, Rose Rank, and Mary Emerick and husband, Carl of Palmyra; and his loving K9 companion, Missy. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Hitz. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
