"Kitty" Boyer, 85, of Arbor Gate in Myerstown, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, of natural causes at the Reading Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She is the wife of Robert L. Boyer. Born in Brownsville, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Florence R. (Sterner) Bright. She was a 1945 graduate of Wernersville High School and a graduate of McCann's School of Business. Kitty worked for the Wernersville National Bank and later at Bank of PA in the Sinking Spring Office. She also assisted her husband in his capacity as Tax Collector for South Heidelberg Twp; and Book-keeper for his business "B and K Technical Sales" in South Heidelberg Twp. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Wernersville, where she was a former Choir member and a Sunday School Teacher. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Camp Fire Girl Leader, former Treasurer of the Junior Women's Club of Wernersville, a Charter member of the Heidelberg Heritage Society in Wernersville, a volunteer for the Lebanon Retired Senior Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.), and a volunteer at the Lebanon VA Medical Center Information Desk. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Jeffrey L. Boyer, Sinking Spring; a daughter, Kathie L. wife of Dennis Matthew, Wernersville; a sister, Dorothy M. widow of John Greth, Wyomissing; and four grandchildren, Justin M. Boyer, Meghan L. Boyer, Zachary B. Matthew, and Peter J. Matthew. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville, with Rev. Harry E. Faust, Jr. officiating. Interment at Hain's Church Cemetery, Wernersville. Friends are invited to call Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
