"Mickey" Breidenstine, 85, died Wednesday evening, February 29, 2012, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd S. Breidenstine, whom she married on January 28, 1950. She was born in Lebanon, on October 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Franklin and Elizabeth Geesey. Vyonne graduated from Lebanon High School in 1944 and the Lebanon Business College in 1945. She worked for a brief time at Weavertown Bologna in Lebanon before taking employment as a secretary with the law firm of McNees, Wallace and Nurick, LLC in Harrisburg. She then dedicated her life to raising a family of six children. Vyonne was a terrific, dedicated, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her youth, she enjoyed tap dancing and ice skating. She was very proud of her time as a law firm secretary and she was known for her excellent typing and shorthand office skills. An avid reader, Vyonne read a countless number of books, especially those with mystery, autobiography, or political subjects. She completed many crossword and jigsaw puzzles, the harder the better. She loved the cold temperatures of winter, windy and stormy weather, the color red, and had a large collection of penguin items, many provided to her by her family and friends over the years. She was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by children, Samuel and wife, Angela Breidenstine, Robert and wife, Gail Breidenstine, Doris, wife of James Heckard, John and wife, Sue Breidenstine, and James and wife, Beth Breidenstine; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Vyonne was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Arlene Singer. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Vyonne's funeral service on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon 17042, where a viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap. Published in Lebanon Daily News on March 2, 2012 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 2.6 Kb
