M. shabodeho@aol.com May 21, 2012, 11:31 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on May 12, 2012 Dorothy Mae Brunner PALMYRA Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Brunner, 88, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Ronald G. Brunner, Sr. She was born in Allentown, on January 29, 1924, daughter of the late Augustus and Sarah Trump Smith. She was retired after 15 years of service from Hershey Medical Center and had been employed previously at Cedar Haven. She was a member of Quentin United Church of Christ. She was a former member of Lebanon VFW Post 23 Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Lebanon VA Medical Center and supported the Humane Society of Lebanon County. Dottie enjoyed bowling, baking, and spending time with her family and best friend, Shadow. In her younger years she was a tap dancer and roller skater. She is survived by sons, Ronald Jr., husband of Shirley Brunner of Annville, and Scott Brunner of Reading; daughters, Sandy, wife of Richard Smith of Robesonia, Cindy, wife of Patrick Kelliher of Lebanon, and Peggy, wife of Dene Snyder of Myerstown; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a great- great-granddaughter; and brother, George Smith, Myerstown. She was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Laub, Edgar Laub, Edwin Wineberg, and sister, Mable Laub. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dottie's funeral services Monday, May 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. from Ruffner-Porterfield Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive (next to Quentin Circle), Lebanon, with the Rev. Norman B. Bucher, Jr. officiating. A viewing will be held Monday beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be made in Covenant Greenwood Cemetery, Ebenezer.
