M. shabodeho@aol.com July 15, 2012, 4:16 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 26, 2012 HERSHEY Gregory Paul Buck, 50, formerly of Cleona, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 in his parent's home in Cleona. He was the husband of Cynthia I. Eckert Buck to whom he was married for 26 years. Born in Harrisburg on April 11, 1962, he was the son of Paul L. and Beverly M. Rozman Buck of Cleona. Greg was a 1980 graduate of Annville-Cleona High School, a 1984 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's of science degree in Meteorology and a 1985 graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Science. He was employed by the Hershey Company since 1996 as an IT Project Manager. Greg was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey where he was a former religious education instructor. He helped develop soccer and basketball teams and also coached many years for Hershey Youth Soccer League and St. Joan of Arc School. He was an avid Penn State fan, Phillies fan and loved listening to Def Leppard music. He also enjoyed golfing, watching the Olympics on television, gardening, flowers especially roses, and spending time with his family. He helped everyone and was loved by everyone. Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are two sons, Eric R. Buck of Carlisle and Nathan G. Buck of Hershey; one daughter, Angela N. Buck of Hershey; one sister, Karen M. wife of Tony Batula of Cleona; and his two canine companions, Lexi and Cassi. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will be held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Contributions can be made to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, 1 Charles Canter, 100 N. Charles St., Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 20201 in his memory or to the National Kidney Foundation, New York, N.Y., in his memory.
