M. shabodeho@aol.com March 10, 2012, 9:29 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on March 5, 2012 Ralph Burchett Sr. PALMYRA Ralph Donald Burchett, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at his home. He was born Wednesday, August 19, 1936, in Sneedville, Tenn., to the late Arthur and Edna Burchett. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Joanne M. (Kreider) Burchett. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He retired from the Hershey Chocolate Company, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was raised in Ky., and loved the mountains. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by many. He is survived by nine children, Chairie Leedy and husband Brian, Crystal Burchett, Connie and husband Carey Shimer, Ralph Burchett, Jr. and wife Debbie, Craig Burchett, Angie Lux and husband John III, Bobbi Jo Dawson and husband John, Joshua Farr and wife Aneta, and Don Burchett and wife Nikki; six grandchildren, Christopher Burchett, Amber Shimer, Johnny Lux, Mikayla Farr, Jordan Farr, Julia Dawson; two great grandchildren, Carter and Cameron; a brother, Ray Burchett and wife Betty; a sister, Janis Robbins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Judy and Lois. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, with Pastor Wayne A. Burggraff officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
