  Harold P. Burkhart 
  
  BERNVILLE Harold P. Burkhart, 76, died Saturday morning in the Reading 
  Hospital where he had been a patient for the past month. Mr. Burkhart is the 
  husband of Marilyn J. (Balthaser) Burkhart. They celebrated a loving marriage 
  of fifty-two years being married November 28, 1959. Harold was born on June 4, 
  1935, in Stouchburg, the son of the late Paul R. & Daisy G. (Shupp) Burkhart. 
  Mr. Burkhart was a member of St. Thomas Church, Bernville. Harold graduate 
  from Hamburg Area High School in the class of 1954. He retired in 1998 with 
  thirty-five years service from the former General Electric Company, Lebanon 
  last working as a layout developer. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a 
  daughter, Rachelle D. wife of Jeffrey L. Hirneisen of Jefferson Township and a 
  son, Dr. Michael D. husband of Sherrie K. Burkhart of Myerstown. Harold was 
  blessed to be grandfather to the following grandchildren; Joseph M. & Robert 
  P. Hirneisen and Olivia R. & Benjamin Burkhart. Mr. Burkhart is, also, 
  survived by a sister, Dorothy wife of Jack Wertz of Shoemakersville. A 
  brother, Oliver H. Burkhart, died January 2012 his widow, Carol resides in 
  Bethel and a sister, Linda Albers died in November 2011 her companion William 
  Harrison resides in Schwenksville. Funeral services from the Kirkhoff Funeral 
  Home, Bernville of Wednesday at 1 p.m. with his pastor the Reverend William 
  Miller officiating. Interment in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bernville. Friends and 
  relatives may call at the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, Bernville on Wednesday 11:30 
  a.m. until time of service.
