Dickey PALMYRA Beloved Sister, Aunt and friend, Joanne Marie Dickey, 74, born in Harrisburg to Charles and Mary (Miller) Dickey Sunday, April 25, 1937, entered her eternal life on Sunday, January 8, 2012. Joanne was a retired secretary employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Health and Welfare and a retired secretary of Messiah Lutheran Church, Harrisburg. Joanne was a past officer in the International Association of Administrative Professionals organization, a member of the Red Hat club and a member of Charlton Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Arlene 'Jean' Lawyer. She is survived by a brother, Richard Dickey, Cape May Courthouse, N.J.; nieces, Lynda Boggs of New Bloomfield, Deborah Kochel, Reading, Carol McQuaid, Elicott City, Md.; a nephew, Richard Lawyer, III of Palmyra; and great-nieces, Michelle Lawyer, Ashleigh Kochel, Meghan McQuaid, Kayleigh McQuaid; and great-nephews, Richard Lawyer, IV , Andrew Kochel and Ian McQuaid. Funeral Services will be held from her church, Charlton United Methodist Church, 5920 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, 17112, on Friday at noon with the Rev. Suanne Whorl officiating. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service. Interment will follow in Harrisburg East Cemetery. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
