  COLUMBIA Julia D. Eshleman, 89, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on 
  August 21, 2012, at St Anne's Retirement Community. She was the wife of the 
  late Marlin D. Eshleman. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Paul 
  W. Deck and the late Marie A Rice Snyder and William O. Snyder. She was a 
  graduate of the Lebanon High School, class of 1942. Julia had worked at the 
  former ACME Markets, Elizabethtown for 20 years as a checking clerk. She was a 
  member of the Elizabethtown Senior Citizens and Christ Evangelical Lutheran 
  Church, Elizabethtown, where she taught Sunday school class. Julia enjoyed 
  needlework, sewing and knitting baby outfits. Surviving are two children, James 
  M. Eshleman of Lancaster and Susan E. Waltz (Larry) of Columbia; grandchildren, 
  Jason Eshleman (Kris), of Maryland, Connie Stine (Chad) of York and Tammy 
  Fawber of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Elizabeth and Dillon Stine, 
  Nathan Fawbe, andr Samuel Eshleman; sister, Charlotte K. Banks of Lebanon. She 
  was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn L. Schott and Barbara Eisenhauer. 
  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Please omit 
  flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran 
  Church,  Elizabethtown, Pa., St. Anne's Retirement Community, Columbia, Pa. or 
  to Hospice and Community Care, Lancaster, Pa. Arrangments by Boyer Funeral 
  Home, Elizabethtown.
