M. shabodeho@aol.com May 21, 2012, 11:43 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on May 12, 2012 Joseph H. Fegan FREDERICKSBURG Joseph H. Fegan, 90, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Madelyn L. Lauer Fegan, and on August 28, 2012, they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Born in Lebanon, on June 10, 1921, he was the son of the late Homer P. and Malinda Sechrist Fegan. He retired from the Lebanon Steel Foundry where he had worked for over 40 years. During WWII, Joe served in the U.S. Navy on the Destroyer U.S.S. Boyd. He was a member of the St. John's U.C.C., Fredericksburg, where he served as an Elder, Deacon, Consistory Secretary, and member of the Men's Brotherhood. He was also a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Louise P., wife of Larry Walmer of Fredericksburg; a son, Clint T., husband of Kathy Fegan of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Rev. Bradley Walmer, husband of Michelle of Jonestown, Jeffrey Walmer, husband of Katherine of Fredericksburg, and Andrew and Kaitlin Fegan, both of Mechanicsburg; and two great- grandchildren, Dylan and Regan Walmer. He was preceded in death by a brother, Grant Fegan, and his sister, Josephine Rank. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John's United Church of Christ, Fredericksburg. There will be no viewing and the burial will be at the convenience of the family at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
