  LEBANON Howard S. Fox, Jr., 83, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Nancy Britcher Fox 
  who died in 2006. Born in Lansford on June 3, 1929, he was the son of the late 
  Rev. Dr. Howard S. Fox, Sr. and Rebekah E. Hoshour Fox. Howard was a 1947 
  graduate of Gettysburg High School. He attended Gettysburg College and Bliss 
  Electrical Technical School. He received a degree in Electrical Engineering. He 
  served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean 
  Conflict. He was a member of the 2nd Army Band, Grace United Church of Christ, 
  Lebanon; National Railway Historical Society, Met-Ed Retirees, Railroad 
  Retirees and was a founding board member for the Lebanon Rails to Trails. 
  Howard worked for Met-Ed for many years as and electrical Engineer until he 
  retired. He was Conductor for the Strasburg Rail Road Company for 36 years. 
  Surviving are a son Howard S. Fox, III (Casey) of Lebanon; a daughter, Caroline 
  wife of Michael Jacobs of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Katie and Stephen 
  Jacobs and Becky wife of Jared Daubert; two great-grandchildren, Grant and J.D. 
  Daubert: two nephews, Adam Fox and Douglas Weitzel; a brother, Henry E. Fox of 
  E. Petersburg; a brother-in-law, John Weitzel of Gettysburg. Memorial services 
  will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the Grace United 
  Church of Christ 1000 S. 5th Ave Lebanon, PA 17042. Inurnment will be at the 
  convenience of the family.
