French, II, 60, formerly of New Castle, Del., passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012, at the Lebanon VA Hospital. He was the son of the late Ray French and Nettie Hawkins. He was married to Charlene (Heisler) French for 40 years. Ray was a graduate of Concord High School in New Castle, Del., and attended Millersville University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked in the fabricated metal industry, working at Fabral of Lancaster for over 25 years. His last employment was as VP of Purchasing for Everlast Roofing of Lebanon. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ray French, III of Bethlehem, Paul B. French, husband of Maureen of Atglen, and David French, husband of Lesley of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Maddie, Molly, and Carson. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Lebanon VA Hospital Chapel, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, with military honors being accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
