Mary Jane Fritz, 84, of Schuylkill Co., and formerly of Riverview Park, Muhlenberg Twp., Berks Co., died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in her residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Fritz, Sr., who died September 23, 2010. Born in Bernville, she was the daughter of the late Guy J., Sr. and Esther (Lerch) Miller. Mary Jane worked for AT&T, Reading, until her retirement. She first worked as a cafeteria worker for the Schuylkill Valley School District. Mary Jane was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp., and its Women's Group. She and her husband devoted a lot of time to church and their fundraisers, bazaars, etc. The remainder of their time was devoted to their family. Mary Jane enjoyed gardening, and loved colorful flowers, and was passionate about helping her daughter Joan with her Bed and Breakfast in Cape May, N.J. She was a member of the Pioneer Women of Western Electric. Surviving are two children, a son, Richard L., Jr., husband of Nancy E. (Bickel) Fritz, Blandon; a daughter, Linda J. (Fritz), widow of Bruce L. Waltman, West Brunswick Twp., and with whom Mary Jane resided; three grandchildren, Crystal L. (Waltman) Snyder, Kevin R. Fritz, and Eric L Fritz; three great-grandchildren, Aleesha, and Logan Fritz, and Natalie Snyder. Mary Jane is also survived by a brother, Guy J. Miller, Jr., husband of Dolores, Leesport; and a sister, Lillian (Miller), wife of Marvin Hirneisen, Gouglersville. Mary Jane was predeceased by a daughter Joan E. (Fritz), widow of W. Davis Mason, in November of 2011, three brothers, C. Russell Miller, Eugene Miller, and Richard Miller; and a sister, Marie Hoch. Services will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 2115 Main St., Centerport. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Saturday 9 to 11 a.m Memorial contributions may be sent to Covenant Home Care, Shoemakersville, Pa.
