M. shabodeho@aol.com August 4, 2012, 10:16 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on July 17, 2012 Norman George Fritz, 75, of Palmyra, PA, departed this life into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 14, 2012. Born in Abington, PA, Sunday, October 18, 1936, he was the only child of the late Norman G. and Lillian Brown Fritz. Norman graduated from Upper Moreland High School, Willow Grove, PA and went on to graduate from Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA where he was a member of the Lambda chi Alpha Fraternity. Norman was last employed with Safety Light Corporation, Bloomsburg, PA as a Radiation Safety Officer and retired in 2005. Norman had a love and interest for the old west. He so enjoyed talking with friends about cowboy gear, horses and anything that had to do with the old west cowboy life. He also had an interest in Civil War history, visited many of the battle fields and studied in-depth the battle of Gettysburg. Norman is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Margaret L. (Campbell) Fritz; daughters, Donna Walker of California, Linda Reedy of Lebanon; granddaughters, Ashley Walker, Melissa Reedy, Arielle Walker and Megan Reedy; two great-grandchildren; step-children, Jacqueline Rogers and husband Kasey of Mechanicsburg, David Daniel and wife Gina of Mechanicsburg, Marc Daniel and wife Cheri of Duncannon; step-grandchildren, Kyle Rogers, Lindsey Rogers, Alexis Daniel, Elly Daniel and Caitlin Daniel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 20th at 1 PM at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 West Pine Street, Palmyra with Father James F. Podlesny as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Church of the Holy Spirit or Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, PA. Norman, you will be missed and loved forever.
