He was the husband of Geraldine L. Mease Gamble, with whom he celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Born in Lebanon on January 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Harry A., Jr. and Pearl H. Erdman Gamble. He was retired from Metropolitan Edison, Inc., where he worked in building maintenance. George was a 1950 graduate of South Lebanon High School and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Lebanon VFW Post 23, the Lebanon American Legion, and was a pony and midget baseball coach for Hebron Little League and was voted National Little League Coach of the Year. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and photography. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Charles H. husband of Denise Gamble of Lebanon; a daughter, Gwenn Lynn wife of Nicholas Liberti of Eagles River, Alaska; a brother, William Gamble of New York; three sisters, Myrle Shindle of Lebanon, Ruth Morris of Hermitage, Charlotte Stumm of Womelsdorf; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and John Gamble; and three sisters, Anita Daubert, Margarette Gamble, an Mary Catherine Gamble. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
