M. shabodeho@aol.com February 11, 2012, 8:29 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on February 5, 2012 Thomas Garrett TULSA, OK Following a courageous struggle with ALS since 2009, Thomas Garrett passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012, in Tulsa, Okla. Born June 30, 1967, in Lebanon, son of Luther and Elaine (Heller) Garrett of Thomasville, Ga., he was married to the love of his life, Gayle (Barnett) Garrett, for 21 years and is survived by daughters, Emma, Sarah, Laura, and Michaela Garrett; sister, Susan (Garrett) Stuck; brothers, Bryan and wife, Judy, and Duane and wife, Shannon; three nieces; and five nephews. He proudly served 21 years with the Oklahoma Air National Guard and flew 12 tours of duty in the Middle East, including three in Iraq. He was laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Honors provided by Tinker Air Force Base with escort provided by Brothers in Arms, the 138th Fighter Wing. Donations in his honor can be made at folds of honor.org to fulfill Tom's dreams for his wife and daughters future.
