She was born in Earl Township to the late Amos and Lydia (Reinhart) Newswanger and was the wife of Paul B. Good. She was a member of New Haven Mennonite Church Mid Atlantic Conference. In addition to her husband, Edith is survived by nine children, Dale N., husband of Marian (Hursh) Seibel of Hopewell, Darlene N., wife of Clarence Kreider of Myerstown, LaVerne N., wife of Paul Groff of Stevens, Shirley N., wife of Carl Martin of Newmanstown, Leonard N., husband of Norma (Lehman) Seibel of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Edith N., wife of the late R. Carl Martin of Myerstown, Margie N., wife of Reed High of Jonestown, Lydia N., wife of Anthony Sweigart of Fortworth, Miss., and Jane N., wife of Vernon Geigley of Lancaster; five stepchildren, Harold B., husband of Miriam (Zimmerman) Good of Stevens, Ruth B., wife of Earl Horst of Tamaqua, Melvin B., husband of Verna (Fox) Good of Long Island, Va., Loretta B., wife of Sylvan Witmer of Womelsdorf, and Rhoda B., wife of Vernon Weaver of Stevens; two brothers, Amos, husband of Arlene (Gehman) Newswanger Jr. of Pine Grove, and Robert, husband of Elva (Martin) Newswanger of Ephrata; one sister, Anna, wife of Ira Ginder of Denver; 41 grandchildren; 27 step grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and 76 step great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Seibel; a daughter-in-law, Joyce (Hoover) Seibel; five brothers, Walter, Paul, Raymond, Lester, and Richard Newswanger; a sister, Elsie Martin; a grandson; and twp great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the New Haven Mennonite Church, 225 Crest Road, Lititz. An additional viewing will be held on Monday, September 10, from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 10 a.m. at the church with Glen Fox, Larry Graber, LeRoy Martin, and Byron Wolfer officiating. Interment will take place in the Martindale Mennonite Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Inc., Akron/Ephrata.
