"Bill" Hanmer, Jr., 84, of Manheim, died on Friday, September 7, 2012, at his home. He was born on Sunday, April 22, 1928, to the late William L. Hanmer, Sr. and Dorothy Hanmer nee Nunemaker in Harrisburg. He was a member of Community Bible Church. He worked as a minister and loved to study and accounting. Bill was also one of the original faculty at Appalacian Bible College in Bradley, W.Va. Surviving are wife, Lois Hanmer nee Wegner of Manheim; daughters, Tamara Hendrix of Georgia, and Pamela, spouse of Joe Ruberg of Indiana; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Tucker Hanmer. Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, from 9 to 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 20 Linden Road, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Memory Gardens, Ephrata, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Furthering Fellowship, Myerstown, Pa. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
