Hodnett PALMYRA Richard Wayne Hodnett, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2012 at his home, with family by his side. He was born Tuesday, May 12, 1942 in Harrisburg, to the late Walter "Doc" and Louise (Turik) Hodnett. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy (Melancon) Hodnett. Richard graduated from Hershey High School in 1960. He was employed by Hershey Foods for 43 years, and was a member of the Local 464 Chocolate Workers Union. Richard had a knack for woodworking and enjoyed spending time fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard L. Hodnett and wife Jessica of Palmyra and Daniel W. Hodnett of Annville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Darcy Hodnett, who passed away April 9, 1989. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Pastor Paul Shadle officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in the Hershey Cemetery, Hershey.
