"Bob" Horn, 79, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Peters) Horn. Born in Lebanon, on May 20, 1933, Bob was the son of the late Martin and Stephanie Yedani Horn. Surviving are four children, Robert M., husband of Karen Horn of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Beverly A., wife of John Levengood of Lebanon, Cynthia M., wife of Chuck Dumbauld of Lebanon, and Gregory E., husband of Rebecca Horn of Nashville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Horn McNeil, Brittany and Lauren Levengood, Mark and Steven Buchmoyer, Cole Dumbauld, Grace Powell-Horn, and Zachary Horn; one great- grandson, Camron Buchmoyer; two sisters, Wilma Urban of Lebanon and Margaret Dellinger Kapp of Lebanon; two brothers, Anthony Horn of Lebanon and James Horn of Chambersburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Walters. Bob was employed for 47 years as an insurance underwriter for Strickler Insurance in Lebanon. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church, St. Gertrude's/St. Cecilia's Holy Name Society, and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War era. Funeral Mass Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment at St. Gertrude's Cemetery. Viewing hours Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob's name to St. Cecilia's Church; or the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, Lebanon, Pa.
