  John B. Horning 
     
  RICHLAND John B. Horning, 91, died Sunday, January 1, 2012, in the Richland 
  Christian Home. He was the husband of the late Katie Hurst Horning and the 
  late Emma Hurst Horning. He was born in Fivepointville, on December 12, 1920, 
  a son of the late David and Magdelena Burkholder Horning. He was employed as a 
  farmer and later retired from Paul B. Zimmerman Hardware Store in Lititz. John 
  was a member of the Millbach Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference. He 
  is survived by sons, Mark, married to Lucille Horning of Stevens, David, 
  married to Evelyn Horning of Newmanstown, Melvin, married to Louella Horning, 
  and Frank, married to Edna Horning, both of Lebanon, Leon, married to Edna 
  Horning of Richland, and John, married to Erma Horning of Ephrata; daughters, 
  Esther, married to Frank Horning of Myerstown, Kathryn, married to Raymond 
  Nolt of Weedsport, N.Y., and Grace Horning of Newmanstown; 45 grandchildren; 
  176 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sisters, Elizabeth 
  Stauffer of Richland, and Esther, married to Joseph Boll of Lebanon. He was 
  preceded in death by brothers, Aaron, Paul, Daniel, Franklin, and Joseph 
  Horning; and sisters, Katie Nolt, Susanna Weaver, and Etta Gingrich. Funeral 
  service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Mountain View Mennonite 
  Church, 196 Butler Road, Lebanon. Interment will be made in the adjoining 
  church cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. 
  at the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon.   
  Clauser Funeral Home, Inc. of Schaefferstown is handling his arrangements.
