Hursh, 68, entered into rest after a lengthy illness on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Lancaster County to the late Elam and Elizabeth (Martin) Martin and was the wife of Elvin M. Hursh. Mary was a member of the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Gerald M., husband of Lorraine (Zimmerman) Hursh of Lititz; five daughters, Wilda M., wife of Paul W. Hurst of Ephrata, Wanda M., wife of James G. Weaver of Ephrata, Julia M., wife of Nelson R. Martin of Robesonia, Faye Elizabeth, wife of John L. Horning of Livingston, WI and Rosene M., wife of Curvin M. Horning of Newmanstown; two brothers, Elam Ray, husband of Lorraine (Zimmerman) Martin of Lititz and John David, husband of Anna Mary (Martin) Martin of Grayson, Ky.; three sisters, Irene, wife of Abram Weaver of Newville, Thelma, wife of Harry Good of Newmanstown and Elma Fay, wife of John Sensenig of Romulus, N.Y.; 46 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Rosemary H. Horning and Quint Elvin Weaver. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, the late residence, 220 Wood Corner Road, Lititz. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday from the late residence, with further services at 9:30 a.m. from the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference) with Bishop Lester B. Martin, Bishop Melvin Martin and Ministers Gary Zimmerman and Henry Horning officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery Kindly omit flowers.
