  Robert J. Ingersoll 
   
  MIDDLETOWN Robert J. Ingersoll, 85, of Frey Village, Middletown and formerly 
  of Palmyra passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was the widower of Patricia 
  A. (Landis) Ingersoll who died March 10, 2012. Born May 4, 1926, in Asbury 
  Park, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Henry and Ada Belle (Cox) 
  Ingersoll. An ice cream salesman, he worked for Hershey's Ice Cream and 
  retired from Richmond Ice Cream. He worshipped in the Lutheran faith, was a 
  member of Palmyra VFW #6417, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. 
  Surviving are his sons Fred Ingersoll of Florida, Michael Ingersoll of 
  Illinois and Stephen Ingersoll of Delaware; grandchildren, Cody, Ashley, 
  Courtney, Ryan, and Kenny Ingersoll; and step children, Paul Haney of Maryland 
  and Mary Orr of Delaware. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
  St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Spring and Union Streets, Middletown, 
  PA 17057, preceded by a visitation from 10 a.m. Private interment will be in 
  Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
