  NEWMANSTOWN Christine A. Kantner, 57, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, 
  August 4, 2012, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the 
  wife of John R. Kantner, to whom she would have been married 29 years on 
  September 24. Born in West Reading, on September 30, 1954, she was the daughter 
  of the late Michael J. and Grace V. (Dettra) Schneider. A 1972 graduate of 
  Governor Mifflin High School, she had been an administrative assistant for 
  Albright College, Reading, and a secretary at Millcreek Lutheran Church, 
  Newmanstown for 13 years. She was a member of Millcreek Lutheran Church, 
  Newmanstown and enjoyed playing the piano, collecting sea shells and angels, 
  reading, going to Cape May, bird watching, and listening to music. She played 
  the organ for a number of years at St. Paul's UCC, Millbach and loved her 
  family and her dog Gracie Pearl very much. In addition to her husband, she is 
  survived by a daughter, Shelly wife of Vincente Turula of Boonton, N.J.; and a 
  son, Jonathan Kantner, at home; granddaughter, Madaline Turula; sister, 
  Kathleen wife of Joseph Laroche of Wernersville; and several nieces and 
  nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral 
  Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. There will be no viewing or 
  visitation. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of 
  flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Millcreek Lutheran Church.   
  Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
