M shabodeho@aol.com September 16, 2012, 10:13 am Published in Lebanon Daily News on September 7, 2012 MYERSTOWN Jackie Donald Kerschner, known to family and friends as "Jack" died Wednesday, September 5, 2012. He was the husband of Susan J. Horst Kerschner and the late June Johnson Kerschner. He was born May 29, 1931 in Bellefonte, son of the late James F. Kerschner and Veronica Dunkin Kerschner. He was a 1949 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He was in sales the majority of his life working for Anheuser-Busch and National Window Companies. In his later years he enjoyed working for IU-13 and Early Choices in Delaware which involved transporting special needs children to and from school. He attended church services at The Church of the Good Shephard and was a member of F. & A.M. of Bellefonte. Jack enjoyed athletics; he was a standout athlete in his high school football and basketball teams. He supported and attended Penn State University football games for over 30 years. And in recent years became a loyal fan to ELCO sports teams. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is daughter, Jenny wife of Harvey Huyett of Quarryville; and grandchildren, Andrew and Kayla Huyett of Quarryville; also including family members, Steven and Helle Kenny of Spots, Md.; Jennifer Logan and Brett Weit of Myerstown; Melinda and Matt Peiffer of Schaefferstown; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 9th at 1:30 p.m. at the Clauser Funeral Home, North Carpenter Street, Schaefferstown, with a visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be made in the Schaefferstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cedar Haven: indicate Jack Kerschner Bench Fund, Lebanon, Pa.
