M. shabodeho@aol.com August 18, 2012, 7:51 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on August 11, 2012 ELIZABETHTOWN John E. Klopp, 82, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Masonic Village. He was the husband of Mabel M. (Boyer) Klopp, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Bethel, he was the son of the late Ralph C. and Amy (Stupp) Klopp. He was a 1947 graduate of Bethel High School and a 1949 graduate of the Reading Business Institute. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired in 1995 after 44 years of service and 8,976 cars sold from L&B Dodge in Robesonia, having formerly worked for the former Paul Weber in Rehrersburg. He was a lifetime member of St. John's (Hain's) U.C.C. in Wernersville, where he was a member of the choir and a former Deacon and Elder. He helped at many church picnics and taught adult Sunday school. He was also a member of F.A.M. Williamson Lodge #307, a substitute for Chaplain, he sang in the Ambassadors of Cheer, was a volunteer at Phoebe Berks where he played the piano, and was a member of Heidelberg Heritage Society. In addition to his wife, Mabel, he is survived by two brothers, R. William Klopp of Allentown and Burt W. Klopp of Bethel; a sister, Josephine A. Muth of Fleetwood; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's (Hain's) U.C.C., 591 N. Church Road, Wernersville, with his pastor, the Rev. Jon A. Fogle, officiating. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday,at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's (Hain's) U.C.C. Cemetery Fund, Wernersville, Pa.
