She was the wife of the late Christian H. Kurtz, whom she married on February 10, 1951. She was born in East Earl Twp., Lancaster Co., a daughter of the late Martin M. and Minnie M. Martin Eberly. She was a member of the Weaverland Conference, Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Myerstown. She is survived by children, Earl Kurtz and his wife, Sarah of Bethel, Warren Kurtz and his wife, Judith of Cherry Tree, Edwin Kurtz and his wife, Eunice of Webster, Ky., Luke Kurtz and his wife, Linda of Cherry Tree, James Kurtz and his wife, Anna Mae of Harrodsburg, Ky., Isaac Kurtz and his wife, Sara of Guys Mills, Susan Kurtz, Louella Kurtz, and Rachel Kurtz, all at home, Anna, wife of Jonathan Putt of Bainbridge, and Eva Jane, wife of Jay King of Union Star, Ky.; 47 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Luke, husband of Elva Eberly of Stevens, Henry, husband of Hilda Eberly of Richland, Martin, husband of Anna Eberly of Ephrata, Paul, husband of Esther Mae Eberly of Loysville, Willis, husband of Myrna Eberly of Reinholds, and John, husband of Abby Eberly of East Earl; sisters, Esther, wife of Irvin Weaver of Stevens, Elizabeth, wife of John Elam Zimmerman of Lebanon, and Edna, wife of Allen Brubacker of Unity, Wis.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandchildren, stillborn Philip Dale King and Gwendolyn Joy Kurtz; and sisters, Anna and Minnie Eberly. Funeral service will be held Monday 9:30 a.m. from Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Deep Run Road, Myerstown. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, Jackson Road, Myerstown. Clauser Funeral Home, Inc. of Schaefferstown is handling the arrangements.
