Lintz, 71, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Reading, to Donald and Ruth (Jacobs) Lintz, he was the husband of Linda (Kreider) Lintz. They would have been married 49 years in September. He was a member of Akron Church of the Brethren, a past member of the Akron Fire Company, and had served on the Board of the War Memorial Association. Roger served three years in the U.S. Army, serving two years in Germany. He retired from the Reading Eagle Company as a computer technician after 39 years. In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his two sons, Timothy, husband of Donna Lintz of Middletown, Del., and Scott, husband of Amy Lintz of Palmyra; five grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Sam, Kreider, and Katie; and his "angel puppy" Cooper. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Akron Church of the Brethren, 613 Main St., Akron, followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. with Pastor Tom Weber officiating. Interment will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements are by Stradling Funeral Homes, Inc., Akron/Ephrata.
