M. shabodeho@aol.com August 18, 2012, 8:11 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on August 13, 2012 PALMYRA Stanley D. Long, 85, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, in the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Leota I. Wenrich Long. He was born in Lebanon on August 3, 1927, a son of the late Raymond A. and Dorothy Uhler Long. Stanley was a retired employee of Bethlehem Steel with seventeen years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by sons, David R. Long; Daniel C. husband of Kelly J. Long; Stanley W. husband of Robin D. Long and Timothy W. husband of Kelly D. Long all of Lebanon; John R. husband of Eileen M. Long of Palmyra; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas C. Long. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Lebanon, Pa. Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., is handling his arrangements.
