  SPRING GROVE Doris Fern (Risser) Martin, 80, passed away at home on Mother's 
  Day, Sunday, May 13, 2012. Doris was the wife of the late William H. Martin 
  Jr. of Menges Mills. Doris lived her early life in the Lawn-Bellaire area of 
  Lebanon County and was the daughter of the late Floyd G. and Florence 
  (Hershey) Risser. She was a school bus driver for 18 years for the Spring 
  Grove Area Schools. She taught Bible Club and 4-H club, and was also employed 
  as a receptionist at the York Rescue Mission for a number of years. A very 
  special lady, known as Gma Doris to everyone: she was active in church work, 
  Bible studies and caring for others. Doris is survived by five children, Joyce 
  E. Hammer and husband, Benjamin of Westminster, Colo., Julia A. Greer and 
  husband, Dennis of Spring Grove, Joseph A. Martin and wife, LaVonnne of 
  Harrisonburg Va., Jonathan W. Martin and wife, Patti Jo of Phoenix, Ariz., and 
  Janice Martin Richter of Port Republic, Va. She is also survived by 12 
  grandchildren and a great-grandchild; her brothers, Floyd G. Risser and wife, 
  Gwen of Harvey Bay, Australia, and John J. Risser and wife, Deborah of 
  Hershey; and her sister, Sara F. Risser of Quito Ecuador; her siter-in-laws, 
  Minerva Stehman and Patsy Risser. She was predeceased by her brothers, R. 
  Hershey Risser and C. Troy Risser. Family and friends are invited to attend a 
  her graveside service on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Garber's Mennonite Church 
  Cemetery, Old Hanover Rd., in Menges Mills followed by a Memorial Service at 
  11:30 a.m. at Christ American Baptist Church, 730 Menges Mils Rd., Spring 
  Grove with Pastors Todd Witmer and Ralph G. Eib officiating. The Family will 
  receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral 
  Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N Main St., Spring Grove.
