  Allen R. Matters Sr. 
   
  FREDERICKSBURG Allen R. Matters, Sr., 80, passed away on Monday April 2, 2012, 
  at Cedar Haven with his children at his side. He was the husband of Fern L. 
  Matters, who passed away March 23 2011. Born in Lebanon on May 25, 1931, he 
  was the son of the late Paul and Bertha Kalbach-Matters. He served in the 
  United States Air Force during the Korean War as an Air Traffic Controller. He 
  retired from Bethlehem Steel where he had worked in the Ore mine and also at 
  Millard Quarry. Allen loved spending time in his garden and especially enjoyed 
  giving away the fruits of his labor. He is survived by his sons, Allen R. 
  Matters, Jr., and his wife, Barbara of Lebanon and Creig J. Matters of 
  Fredericksburg; his daughter, Beverly J. Falcon and her husband, Michael of 
  Shreveport, La.; brothers, Charles Matters of Newmanstown, Harty Murray of 
  Lebanon, and sister, Revena Reichard of Brigham City, Utah. Grandchildren 
  Alicia, Allen III, Caitlin, Christopher, Jacob, and Rachel and great 
  grandchildren, Caiden and Estelle. He was preceded in death by his brothers, 
  Raymond and Paul Matters; and sisters, Helen Mattoli, and Theresa Yorty. 
  Services will be at the convenience of the family. Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home 
  & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
