   ANNVILLE Edward Light Meyer, 98, went to be with The Lord with a song in his 
  heart on Monday, February 13, 2012, at his home. He was predeceased in 1993 by 
  his loving wife, Mary A. (Bentzel) Meyer. He was born Saturday, August 30, 
  1913, in Cleona, to the late Solomon E. and Mary (Light) Meyer. He was an 80 
  year member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren, where he lovingly served. He 
  was a dedicated employee and part owner of S.E. Meyer & Son Packaging in 
  Palmyra. He loved singing unto The Lord. He is survived by a son, Robert E. 
  Meyer of Palmyra; a daughter, Jean Cartwright and husband, Ronald of South 
  Carolina; six grandchildren, Anna M. Meyer, Esther N. Meyer, Emma R. Verna and 
  husband, Edward, Mark D. Meyer and wife, Sandra, Paul R. Meyer, and Sean 
  Cartwright and wife, Julie; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-
  grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Ruth Meyer; a 
  grandson, John D. Meyer; six brothers, John, Oscar, Lloyd, Harry, Martin, and 
  Paul. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Palmyra Church of the 
  Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra 17078 with the Rev. Dennis M. Lohr 
  officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 9 a.m. until time 
  of the service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. 
  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation 
  Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra.
