M. shabodeho@aol.com August 27, 2012, 11:37 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on August 20, 2012 LEBANON Dale Martin Miller, 68, crossed over into eternal life on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at his home. He was born December 29, 1943, in Lebanon, a son of the late Eugene and Marguerite Garrett Miller. Dale was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lebanon, where he was an active member of the choir and played drums for the Praise Band and Choir, as well as serving on many church committees. He was a graduate of Moravian Theological Seminary and was a professional drummer and entertainer. The "Reverend Irwin Hicklegruber" was a popular entertainer for many church and civic groups. He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Turner Miller; two step-sons, David Hurst, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mike, husband of Krista Hurst, Palmyra; brothers, Glenn, husband of Mary Miller, Lebanon; William, husband of Kitty, Schwenksville; sister, Bertha Ursprung, Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dixie Lee Miller; and brothers, Lloyd Miller and Gary Miller. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dale's funeral services on Thursday at 11 a.m. from Trinity UM Church, 757 Willow St., Lebanon, PA 17046 with the Rev. Alice Ann Bonham and Pastor Steve Nicholas officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., ( next to Quentin Circle), Lebanon and Thursday from 10 a.m. to time of service at the church. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon.
