"Billy" Minor, 86, of 5 Fifth St., passed away Monday morning, January 2, 2012, at Cedar Haven Nursing Home, Lebanon. Born in Kelayres, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Sarah (Bonafair) Minor. Billy was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. He was a graduate of McAdoo High School, Class of 1943. Billy was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations on a mine sweeper vessel. He was employed at Thomson Products of Harrisburg, Bethlehem Steel Corp., Globe Lighting, and prior to retiring, he was last employed at the Diocesan Guild Studio of Scranton. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his wife, Rosemarie (Matz) Minor. Surviving are his daughter, Deborah Erway and her husband, Donald of Lebanon; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, and Andrew. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., Blaine and Cleveland Sts., McAdoo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. The Rev. Ronald Minner will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
