Myers, 64, of Jonestown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at his home. He was the husband of Joyce M. Martin Myers and on May 16th they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Born in Harrisburg, on March 25, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles and Betty Stoops Myers. He was employed as a Police Officer with the Bethel Twp., Berks Co. Police Dept. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the American Legion. Charles was a graduate of the E. Pennsboro High School and of UNLV. He was an avid police patch collector and had a passion for gardening. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters, Melissa J. wife of Kyriakos Triantafyllou of Grantville, Natalie of Harrisburg and Jennifer J. Wolfe of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; sisters, Debbie Olsen of Enola and Sherrie Danner of Palmyra and a grandchildren, Antonia, Erin and Daniel. Services with military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Region American Heart Association.
