"Kenny" Painter, 83, died Monday, September 17, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Lois K. (Baum) Painter, to whom he was married over 50 years. Born in Palmyra, on March 15, 1929, he was the son of the late Harry Raymond and Mary (Yingst) Painter. He owned the Ken Painter Service Co., Richland, where for over 50 years he was a commercial industrial machinist in the shoe industry. A member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren, he was a former member of the Lebanon Optimist Club, and for 20 years maintained a winter home with his wife in Haines City, Fla. He enjoyed golfing, camping, boating, and most of all, working in his garage workshop where he did repairs, building, and worked on Lionel Model Trains. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Gail, wife of Paul Newhouse of Max Meadows, Va., Breena, wife of Steven Krick of Lebanon; sons Rodney, husband of Dawn Kiscadden of Lebanon, Craig Kiscadden of Myerstown; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Louise, wife of Elmer "Stringy" Tobias of Palmyra; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Kiscadden; sisters, Pauline, Annabelle, Kathryn, and Jane; and brothers, Harry, Richard, and Johnny. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday from Myerstown Church of the Brethren, preceded by a viewing at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to Myerstown Church of the Brethren, Myerstown, Pa. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, is entrusted with the arrangements.
