Priebe, 67, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born September 18, 1944, in Berks County, he was the son of the late Frederick and Ethel (Glassmoyer) Priebe, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Joan Kroninger. Retired from Palmyra Area High School with 30 years as a physics teacher, he was the founder of CPEP - Contemporary Physics Education Project. Growing up in Shillington and New Holland, he graduated from Garden Spot High School, West Chester State College, and received his master's degree from Millersville University. A member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hummelstown, the American Chestnut Foundation, and the Lebanon County Democratic Committee, he served on the Drug and Alcohol Commission of Lebanon County and was a long time member of Al-Anon. Surviving are his fiancee and partner of 20 years, Leslie Winters of Colebrook; daughters, Pamela, wife of Jose Cowen of Bethesda, Md., and Barbara, wife of Thomas Fraticelli of Salem, Va.; grandchildren, Joseph Cowen, and Cecilia, Josephine, and Nicholas Fraticelli. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at his church at 850 Hill Church Road, Hummelstown, preceded by a visitation from 10 a.m. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
