    MANHEIM Marilyn M. "Peg" Renik, 86, of the Pleasant View Retirement Community, 
    Manheim, formerly of Myerstown, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Lancaster 
    General Hospital. She was the widow of Frank P. Renik, who died in 1994. Born 
    in Myerstown, on September 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Ida 
    (Heffelfinger) Mahaffey. She had been employed at the former Martin's Farm 
    Market, Lebanon for 17 years, retiring in 1990. Prior to Martin's Farm Market, 
    she worked at Mahaffey's Food Products, Myerstown for 13 years. She was a 
    member of Zion United Methodist Church, Myerstown and attended Grace Community 
    Church of Willow Street. She had been involved in the Lebanon YMCA Water 
    Exercise Group for many years, and was an avid reader. A devoted mother, 
    homemaker and loyal friend to many, she was the beloved mother of daughter Mary 
    Anne wife of Charles Morris of Conestoga; sons, George Brightbill of Palm 
    Springs, California, Lester husband of Linda Brightbill of Myerstown, Michael 
    husband of Jami Renik of Palmyra and Joel Renik partner of Vincent Parlegreco 
    of Annapolis, Maryland; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, 
    George husband of Betty Matthews of Charlotte, North Carolina, Arthur husband 
    of Carrie Mahaffey of Manheim and Erwin husband of Mary Ellen Mahaffey of 
    Myerstown; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 
    July 10, 2012, at 10 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., 
    Myerstown. There will be no viewing or visitation. Interment will be private. 
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart 
    Association, Lancaster, Pa.
