Ressler, 81, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Pleasant View Retirement Community. She was born in Lebanon County, to the late Noah and Eva (Heisey) Huber, and was the former wife of the late Russell Ressler. Arlene was a lifelong member of Ebenezer Evangelical Congregational Church, Brownstown. Arlene was very proud of her children and grandchildren, and devoted her life to them. She also loved gardening, flowers, swimming, shopping for bargains, and playing cards. Arlene was a volunteer in the gift shop for the Ephrata Community Hospital. She had a teaching degree from Millersville State Teaching College. Arlene is survived by three sons, Russell Jr., husband, of Cathy Ressler of Brownstown, James, husband, of Vicki Ressler of Lancaster, David, husband, of Beth Ressler of East Petersburg; two daughters, Marjorie, wife, of Galen Erb of Brownstown, Joy, wife, of John McClay of Fairhope, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Rich, husband, of Nancy Huber of York, and Noah Tom, husband, of Kathi Huber of East Petersburg. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Huber. A viewing will be held on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. Ninth St., Akron. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Ebenezer Evangelical Congregational Church, 23 S. State St., Brownstown, followed by her funeral service held at 10 a.m., with Pastor Keith Miller officiating. Interment will take place in the Brownstown Cemetery.
