  ANNVILLE John W. "Whitty" Royer, 86, of Jonestown Rd., Annville, passed away 
  on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the Countryside Christian Community. He was the 
  husband of Gladys A. Kreiser Royer and on March 11th, they had celebrated 
  their 66th wedding anniversary. Born in McGaheysville, Va., on December 7, 
  1925, he was the son of the late John W. and Sallie Morris Royer. He retired 
  in 1986 from TRW-Harrisburg, where he had worked as an inspector. He served 
  during WWII in the U.S. Navy Armed Guard. Whitty was a member of the Emmanuel 
  United Methodist Church and the Armed Guards Veterans of WWII. He enjoyed 
  hunting, fishing, woodworking and especially building clocks. In addition to 
  his wife he is survived by his sons, Leonard W., husband of Irma Royer, of 
  Jonestown and Gary L., husband of Kathryn Royer, of Cave Creek, Ariz.; his 
  daughter, Diane L., wife of Ronald Kaylor, of Jonestown; grandchildren Lance 
  Ishler, Douglas Royer, Matthew Kaylor, Niles Royer, Denise Lebo, Tiffany 
  Kaylor; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, 
  Vernon, Nelson, Wilson and Lloyd Royer and sisters, Ruth Myers, Ruby Harmon, 
  Christina Bombgardner, Helen Schriver, Nellie Brajkovich, Mary Neidig and 
  Della Neidig. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the 
  Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Boundary Rd. & Rt. 443, Indiantown Gap. 
  Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church with Interment 
  following at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Grantville.
