Ruhl MILLSBORO, DE LaVerne Faye Ruhl, 63, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, Md. She was the wife of James E. Ruhl, who passed away in 1990. She was born in Lebanon, on July 3, 1948, daughter of the late William and Luzille Arnold Becht. She retired from Green Valley Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Millsboro, Del., where she was activities director. She was a member of "The Journey" Wesleyan Church, Millsboro, Del., The Red Hat Society, and AARP. She loved camping, cruises, and was devoted to her grandkids. She loved to make crafts. LaVerne is survived by her children, Jaime, wife of John Masters of Millsboro, Del., Jennifer, wife of David Neal, Jr. of Georgetown, Del., Jason, husband of Dawn Ruhl of Laurel, Del., and Janice Ruhl, fiance' of Winford Bostic, Jr. of Dagsboro, Del.; grandchildren, Kaylee, Zachary, John Ryan, Ashley, Madison, Tayetum, Wynnie, Nathan, and Jadyn; brother, Verdun, husband of Janet Becht of Watsontown; nephew, Carl, husband of Shelia Becht; and niece, Elaine Ficks, wife of Scott Yeager. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends, and her very special church family. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend LaVerne's funeral service Saturday at 11 a.m. from Ruffner-Porterfield Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, 890 Isabel Drive, (next to Quentin Circle), Lebanon, with Pastor Wesley McCallum officiating. A viewing will be held Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to James A.
