  JONESTOWN Gladys J. Pittenger Runkel, 86, died Sunday April 1, 2012, in her 
  residence. She was the wife of Richard S. Runkel they had celebrated their 
  68th wedding anniversary this past August. Born in Bunker Hill on April 6, 
  1925, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Annie Nock Pittenger. Gladys 
  was a 1943 graduate of Jonestown High School. In addition to her husband she 
  is survived by four sons, Richard J. Runkel and his wife, Betty. of Fla., 
  Denis R. Runkel and his wife, Joan of Annville, David M. Runkel and his wife, 
  Dianne L. of Fredericksburg; a brother, James Pittenger and wife, Patricia of 
  Lebanon; six grandchildren, Ashley, David, Brian, Stacy, Chris, and Eric; and 
  nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of 
  the family. The family request no flowers be sent to the funeral. Kreamer & 
  Lum Funeral Home & Crematory are in charge of the arrangements.
