  LEBANON Philip James Sammis, 59, died Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the 
  Lebanon VA Medical Center. Published in Lebanon Daily News on January 17, 
  2012   Born in Syracuse, NY on October 1, 1952, Philip was a son of the late 
  Ralph M. and Florence L. (Halstead) Sammis.   He served in the U.S. Army. He 
  was a history buff and enjoyed Syracuse sports.  He is survived by 4 sons: 
  Joshua Sammis, Christopher Sammis, Thomas Sammis and Eric Sammis; 1 sister, 
  Nancy Plaza; 1 brother, Jack Ross; also several nieces and nephews.  Funeral 
  services will be held at the convenience of the family. Thompson Funeral Home, 
  Inc. is entrusted with arrangements.
