Sattazahn, 75, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, S.C., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the wife of Ray R. Sattazahn, to whom she would have been married 57 years on October 30, 2012. Born in Millcreek Twp., on May 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Norman Darkes and Eva (Harnish) Darkes Bross. A 1954 graduate of Fredericksburg High School, she worked alongside her husband, Ray, on their dairy farm in Greble for 33 years until selling the farm in 1988. Fondly called "Betty Boscov," she later worked part time at Boscov's in Lebanon where she was still employed. A member of St. John's "Host " Church, Bernville, she attended the Midway Church of the Brethren, Lebanon, enjoyed traveling and crafts, and with her husband, maintained a home in Sebring, Fla., for nearly 25 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Juliet S., wife of Vincent Wagner of Cazenovia, N.Y., Phyllis S., wife of Dennis Seyfert of Lebanon, and Barbara M., wife of Gary Lentz of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Darkes and John F. Darkes. Funeral services will be announced at a later date. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, is entrusted with the arrangements.
