Seltzer, Jr., died on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Terrie Nelson Seltzer to whom he was married 26 years. He was the son of the late Philip H. and Kathryn Stauffer Seltzer and was born on the 12th day of March, 1931, in Lebanon. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1949 and Lebanon Valley College. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a microwave technician with the 315th Signal Battalion Company. He worked in the insurance field with The Insurance Company of North America and CIGNA Corporation, from which he retired in 1991. Later he worked as a consultant to various insurance companies for the last 20 years. He and his wife were antique and collectible dealers. He enjoyed traveling and following the Philadelphia sports teams. His travels carried him to most states in the United States including Hawaii, along with Mexico, Canada and countries in Europe. He was a devout follower of the Christian religion and a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren. He served as financial helper and usher. Survivors are his wife, Terrie Nelson Seltzer of 26 years, two sons, Bradley Lane Seltzer, U.S. Army Retired and his wife, Carol, of Chambersburg, Philip Todd Seltzer of Lemoyne; three daughters, Jodie L. wife of Curtis Browne of Sherman, Conn., Kelly L. wife of Barry Wharton of Mechanicsburg, Elizabeth J. Lerew of Shiremanstown; and grandchildren, Jason, Bradley, Jessica, Ryann, Kylie, Shayne, Regan, and great grandchildren Anthony, Madison, and Samantha. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Seltzer, of Anaheim, California. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Lebanon Church of the Brethren, 400 Locust St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be with Full Military Honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the Church. Contributions may be made to his Church or the American Heart Association , Lebanon County Division, Lancaster, Pa., in his memory.
