    ANNVILLE Robert E. Shaffer, 66, of Annville, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 
    2012, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center as a result of an accident in March 
    working with PennDOT. He was the husband of Shirley A. Clouser Shaffer and on 
    August 31st they would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. Born in 
    Harrisburg on February 22, 1946, he was the son of the late William and Mary 
    Kimmey Shaffer. He retired from ABF where he had been a truck driver for 23 
    years. Following retirement, he worked part time for PennDOT. He also served in 
    the U.S. Navy. Robert was a member of the Moose, Eagles, the Jonestown Rod and 
    Gun Club and the Lebanon R Field & Stream. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 
    traveling with his wife and especially NASCAR. In addition to his wife, he is 
    survived by his son, Robert E. Shaffer, II and his wife, Bobbi of Mt. Zion; 
    daughters, Sherry A. wife of Steven Mease of Lebanon, Lorrie J. wife of James 
    Shirk of Myerstown, Tammy M. wife of Palmer Simpson of Mt. Pleasant Mills and 
    Mary E. Shaffer of Jonestown; four brothers; one sister; nine grandchildren; 
    and three great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 
    2012, at 2 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp 
    Meeting Rd., Jonestown. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. 
    Interment will be at the Lemberger's Cemetery, E. Hanover Twp.
