Shank, Sr., 69, of Jonestown, passed away Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 at home. Born in Quentin, PA on September 2, 1943, he was a son of the late Lester and Thelma (Miller) Shank. Herb worked as an autobody repair and reconditioning technician and had worked for Bobby Gerhart's Truck World for 15 years and enjoyed racing. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Herb came from a family of musicians and excelled at playing bass guitar. He is survived by three sons - Herbert, Todd, and Lester; a daughter Melissa; three brothers - Jim, Sonny, and Timothy; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Seiders and two sisters - Christine Rittle and Dolly Bohr. Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning 11:00AM at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, 17042. Viewing hours Saturday from 9:00- 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Herbert's name to Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.
