  PALMYRA Gladys R. Shirk, 98, of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home died Sunday, 
  June 24, 2012, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born September 13, 
  1913, in Summerdale, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Robert 
  B. and Annie I. (Beers) Stambaugh. A member of First United Methodist Church, 
  Palmyra, she retired from Hershey Foods and was the widow of Harold H. Shirk 
  in 1989. Surviving are nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private interment in 
  Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions 
  may be made to First United Methodist Church, or to the Good Samaritan Fund, 
  Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra, Pa.
