Sholley, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in the Colonial Park Care Center. He was born June 6, 1930, in Lebanon, and was the son of the late George T. and Emma (Heilig) Sholley. He was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Robin L. Mammola; his wives, Edith Sholley and Anna Sholley; his sister, Vivian DeLeo, and brother Richard Sholley, both of Lebanon. John was retired from the Lebanon VA Hospital and served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Community Evangelical Free - Vida Nueva Church; a life member of VFW Post 1383 Klamath Falls, Ore.; Linglestown American Legion Post 272; and VFW Post 148. He is survived by his wife, Shannon (Russ) Sholley; stepson, Steve Zeigler of Harrisburg; stepgrandchildren, John Wagner and Timothy Wagner, both of Palmyra; stepdaughter, Nancy Wagner and her husband, James of Myerstown; step granddaughter, Karen Wagner; two stepgrandsons, Michael S. and Andrew J. Mammola; a sister, Jean Miller and husband, George of Elizabethtown; and a nephew, Sam DeLeo. There will be a private funeral service and burial at the convenience of the family.
