  REXMONT William H. Showers, 79, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012, in the 
  Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband and best friend of Joanne M. (Lebo) 
  Showers. William was born in Cornwall, on April 5, 1933, a son of the late 
  Lester and Cecilia (Chernich) Showers. William had worked at the Cornwall Ore 
  Mines. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid book reader, toy collector, 
  local history buff, nascar lover, and he enjoyed gardening and feeding humming 
  birds. He was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving in addition to his wife 
  and best friend Joanne are two children; Leslie L. husband of Shari Showers of 
  Lebanon, William H. Showers Jr. of Rexmont; three grandchildren; Shannon, 
  Alexander, Aaron; two brothers, Robert Showers of Lebanon, John Showers of 
  Texas; one sister, Christina Showers of Lebanon and nephews. Funeral Mass will 
  be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Church 2 N. 8th St. Lebanon, 
  17046. Interment will be on Holy Savior Cemetery, Cornwall will Full Military 
  Honors. Viewing hours will be held Thursday morning 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. 
  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., is entrusted with the arrangements.
